DUI Classes - Granite Wellness Centers

DMV Approved Program

Granite Wellness is licensed by the DMV and State of California as a provider of Wet and Reckless, and 3, 6, 9, 12, and 18-month programs in both Placer and Nevada counties.

These programs are available at five of our locations. Due to COVID-19, we are now offering DUI services via telehealth as an option until further notice. Please contact the site nearest to you to enroll, or contact your counselor if you are an existing client.

Schedule

Our DUI class schedules are designed to accommodate work and school schedules, including evening classes.

Cost

The cost of the program, by law, is to be paid by those who participate and depends on the length. Your DUI program length depends on a number of factors, including blood alcohol content (BAC), the number of offenses, and is determined by the DMV and the Courts. Contact the office that you will attend and they will give you the cost and payment schedules for your specific program.

How to Enroll

You can enroll by contacting the office that is most convenient for you and reserve a place on the roster. You’ll then participate in an orientation and enrollment session.

  • You will need to bring the appropriate down payment and Court Referral or DMV printout. This will let us know which program you will be required to do.
  • You will be given proof of enrollment for the Court and Granite Wellness will file proof of enrollment on-line with the DMV.

What is the DUI class like?

Programs consist of face to face sessions, education sessions, and group sessions. Counselors bring compassion and humor to the program along with serious discussion and clear learning goals. Granite Wellness’ DUI classes address the effects of alcohol and/or drugs on the body, both physically and mentally, DUI laws, drunk driving, theories of addiction, and methods of preventing another DUI.  There is no homework, but attendees are expected to attend all activities on time and to keep their fees current.

What if I need more help?

If appropriate, the program is also designed to assist individuals in recognizing their alcohol and/or drug dependencies and to assist them towards recovery.

Granite Wellness Centers also provide more intense levels of alcohol/drug treatment if you believe you need more support to stop drinking and/or drug use. We are here to help with certified, compassionate substance abuse counselors and therapists (if needed).

Should you have any questions concerning your specific driver’s license, you can contact the Mandatory Action Unit in Sacramento; ph. # 916-657-6525 they are THE final word on your license.
