Guiding Families to Overcome Addictions
Family Programs are provided by licensed therapists in addition to a certified intervention specialist to achieve positive results for families.
We provide a variety of services for families and individuals whose lives are affected by substance abuse. Our research has taught us that supporting the family greatly improves successful recovery outcomes for individuals.
Our Treatment Philosophy
We believe:
- Alcohol and other drug dependence is a primary, treatable disease.
- The disease is chronic, progressive and has lifelong implications.
- The disease affects the social, emotional, physical mental and spiritual aspects of life.
- The disease has a profound impact on the family, as well as other significant relationships.
- The disease affects each individual differently.
- Treatment must be individualized to meet the needs of each person.
Alcohol and other drug dependencies can affect anyone, at any age, from any walk of life. Maybe you’ve realized that you can no longer control your drinking or drug use. Maybe it’s a spouse who needs a drink to “relax”, or a friend who makes too many excuses for her partner’s drinking. No one is immune, including people who may seem the least likely to develop a problem.
The good news is, like many other diseases, substance abuse can be successfully treated. For many substance abusers, the greatest hurdles to overcome are admitting the problem and seeking help. Clinical professional at Community Recovery Resources will help you identify the most appropriate course of action.
Our goal is to provide treatment in a respectful, dignified manner, enabling the individual to acquire the skills necessary to support ongoing recovery.
Our Family Program
We facilitate creative and practical solutions to relationship, personal, and occupational concerns and believe that counseling and therapy is about offering practical skills and tools to help people negotiate life’s trials.
We offer non-judgmental and caring support, insight, and information. Some of the issues we assist in addressing are:
- depression
- anxiety
- career issues
- relationship struggles
- parenting concerns
- sexual/emotional abuse
- drug and/or alcohol relapse
- sexual/gambling addiction
- anger management
- grief and loss issues
- trauma issues
Intake Session
During your intake we will; complete a comprehensive assessment of your family’s needs pertaining to substance abuse issues, give you a professional recommendation and partner with you to develop a course of action.
Family Recovery Plan
Together with trained professional, each family works in unison to create and maintain a family recovery plan to support a life of free from substance abuse.
Individual and Family Therapy Sessions
Together Families will complete a minimum of four individual sessions (1 hour each) with licensed Therapists addressing any barriers to recovery. Together we develop a recovery plan based on your circumstances and specific needs.
Group Counseling
Together families will complete a minimum of four group sessions (2 hours each) addressing family issues, roles and dynamics of substance abuse in the family, and how to develop and maintain a family recovery plan.
Couples Counseling
Struggles in relationships are one of the main reasons for relapse. At CoRR, our goal is to help couples by giving them tools and skills that increase communications and intimacy and support their relationship.
Aftercare
Once a family has completed they have access to continued support by becoming a part of our growing Alumni.
Pre and post-test by participant families
Together families will complete a pre-test at intake to determine their current level of awareness about substance abuse, family roles, and post and current public service utilization. Post-test will be completed by families at last individual sessions to determine level of change in the family awareness, continued counseling needs and further referral to other community resources.
